GA II - 36 cycle kit

We are trying to run a 40 cycle + 7 base index run and using one 36 cycle kit is not enough but two will be too much.

We are thinking to split one of the 36 cycle kit into 4x10 cycle kits which means it require to thawn/freeze some of the reagents. Has anyone done that before? Would you recommend doing it?

We tried to freeze already thawed sequencing chemicals a couple years ago, and saw terrible quality metrics from that run.

I have been running 40+7 cycles. I split one of 36 cycle kit into 4x10 cycle kits and re-freeze. I have done this for about 8 runs now, no problem. I have asked an FAS before I did this, he said it's fine.
