We have observed that in the miseq result fastq files (untrimmed, non-demultiplexed) that a specific adaptor (PE1) is not available in the output data. However, PE2 is always present.
Are there any situations where this can occur ? We are worried if there is a technical problem in our hands, or this could be due to a procedural mishap done in the sequencing facility.
