At the step 1 of Illumina SBS, we fragment the DNA strandsand then add adapters followed by denaturing and ligation to the flow cell. Then based on polymerization reaction, how do we take care of the reverse strand? Or is it that the reverse strand is washed away and adapters are attached only to the forward strand ?
