  • Process SMRT seq kinetic with AgIn

    Hi all,

    I have a problem with the installation/execution of this program, which process SMRT sequencing kinetic .csv files to predict regional methylation

    https://github.com/hacone/AgIn

    In theory it seems simple, but don't know what I am doing wrong. A similar issue was addressed in this #4:

    https://github.com/hacone/AgIn/issues/4

    But it's not working for me either. The author doesn't look to be active lately. Personally, I think there had been some kind of modification in their original commands. This is what I get so far:

    Code:
    $ ./sbt package-dist
    OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=384M; support was removed in 8.0 [info] Set current project to default-52c6fe (in build file:/home/user/AgIn/bin/) [error] Not a valid command: package-dist [error] Not a valid project ID: package-dist [error] Expected ':' [error] Not a valid key: package-dist (similar: package-bin, package-src, package-doc) [error] package-dist [error] ^
    Then, looking for similar syntax:

    Code:
    $ ./sbt
    OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=384M; support was removed in 8.0
    [info] Set current project to default-52c6fe (in build file:/home/user/AgIn/bin/)

    Display all 243 possibilities? (y or n)
    package
    package-bin package-doc package-src
    packaged-artifacts`
    No idea what's wrong. I have also left a comment on issue #11

    https://github.com/hacone/AgIn/issues/11

    Thanks

    Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
    by seqadmin

    The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist on Modified Bases...

    Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
    by seqadmin

    Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
