Seems significantly faster from where I am, and from all the tests I can run on it. True test will be tomorrow as today is a holiday in the US.

We're on the new host now...please report problems if/when you see them! Thanks!

So you may have noticed the site has been slow as of late...so I'm moving it to a dedicated server as we speak (no more shared host!). This should not only double our RAM but remove any virtualization and database overhead from the shared system.
If the site goes down or has DNS issues over the next day or two, please bear with us. =]

On the plus side, you shouldn't see any 500 errors anymore from the wiki.Tags: None

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...-
