  • How to install qiime?

    hi,

    I am trying to install qiime-deploy using follow command:

    "python qiime-deploy.py $HOME/qiime_software/ -f $HOME/qiime-deploy-conf/qiime-1.7.0/qiime.conf --force-remove-failed-dirs"

    the file qiime_software have generated 53 softwares.

    but installer keeps saying:

    Still deploying applications and data...

    what should i do next?

      Also worth noting that qiime is now at version 1.8.0. I'll be giving it a go soon...

        Hello,

        I suggest you to install it through Bio-Lunix packages
        There is instructions leading to install Uclust since it does not exist in biolinux packages

            If you want to customize QIIME, work with QIIME in a multi-user environment (e.g., a Linux cluster), are interested in getting involved in QIIME development, or want to use the development version of QIIME, you may need to install QIIME manually (but you also may not - see MacQIIME and qiime-deploy).

            Depending on the features of QIIME that you or your users are interested in, a QIIME base install may be sufficient. This is much easier than a QIIME full install. Both of these procedures are covered in the following sections.

            To install most of following dependencies, either for the base or full install, you need to have a build environment on your machine. On OS X, this involves installing the developer tools. On Debian-based Linux (e.g., Ubuntu), this involves installing the build-essential package:

                qiime instalation password

                I am trying to install qiime trough virtual box. Everything seems to go ok, until I enter the command VBOXADDITIONS in order ti run it, and I am asked for a password...In the video tutorial a password in not required.
                What I should do?
