Transcription Start Site Profiling from 10ng of total RNA

The folks at RIKEN just published an important study in Nature Methods (pubmed, journal) which will likely have a big impact on the study of promoter structure and activity.

They outline two methods based on their original CAGE paper and the template-switching method of Cloonan, which enable specific enrichment of 5' capped RNAs.
