    data set from NCBI SRA

i have downloaded several RNA-seq Data from NCBI SRA, such as SRR019978.fastq.

i want to know whether the raw data has been treated by trimming the adaptor sequence of the RNA-seq. if not, what should i do? and what is the adaptor sequence?

    thanks.

I asked this question to the EBI SRA people, and I was told that both NCBI and EBI SRA apply a series of QC procedures before they store the sequences. If you see any noise in the data, like adaptors, please report back to them, because it shouldn't be there.

Pathogen Surveillance with Advanced Genomic Tools
        by seqadmin

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for proactive pathogen surveillance systems. As ongoing threats like avian influenza and newly emerging infections continue to pose risks, researchers are working to improve how quickly and accurately pathogens can be identified and tracked. In a recent SEQanswers webinar, two experts discussed how next-generation sequencing (NGS) and machine learning are shaping efforts to monitor viral variation and trace the origins of infectious...
