    RNA-seq & SNP data

    Hi everyone.
I need RNA-seq data to analyse SNPs related to diseases.
There is no limitation on the type of the disease.
Is there anyone who knows where I can find this kind of data?

Sounds ambitious. Why not start with one kind of disease as a pilot study and establish what works ?

You can get data at the NCBI SRA while it is still available. Use NCBI entrez to search.

yeah thank you and actually I refered to your idea but I think that this sample data seemed to be weird of some kind. its about the protocols I guess...

NCBI's Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) is a public archive and resource for gene expression data.

Actually, I mean that case 1 says that "Low-passage culture of lymph node metastasis from cutaneous melanoma" and the case 2 is control but i understood that it is also melanoma but no metastasis happened.
The weird thing is that why there is no data with control as just no cancer.

        If I did not misunderstood..

Love this - good data definitely starts from good input, and poor input can only give relatively poor data. I particularly like the mention of Nanodrop/absorbance based methods for quantification. It's such a toss up if you'll get an accurate reading or what amounts to a randomly generated number, and a lot of library/sequencing related issues can be traced back to poor quant.

Nine Things a Sample Prep Scientist Thinks About Before Sequencing
          by SEQadmin2

I’m not a sequencing expert. I’m a purification scientist who uses NGS to evaluate workflows my group develops. With this perspective, we think about the sample first and the NGS workflow second. The sequencer is an exceptionally honest reporter, but it can only report on what you give it, so whether you get clean, interpretable data from an NGS workflow is largely determined before you begin.

Here are nine questions we think about, in roughly the order they matter, before...
