we published a detailed globin locking (GlobinLock) methodology to overcome blood sample analysis limitation caused by abundant globin mRNA from erythrocytes. The locking DNA molecules bind specifically at globin RNA poly-A site that is needed for further analysis. Therefore the globin RNAs are “locked” prior downstream manipulations. The GlobinLock is universal for multiple RNA-seq methods like SMART-Seq, G&T-seq, CEL-seq and STRT where anchored oligo-T primer is applied.
In addition to human, GlobinLock is effective for mouse, rat, cow, dog and zebrafish
