I'm trying to find SNPs in a particular CHO cell line, and I'm having trouble finding a SNP database. I've dug through the NCBI ftp looking for a dbsnp file for CHO-K1 cells, and didn't find anything - this seems a little odd, since they have files for things as obscure as pufferfish and elk. Am I right that one doesn't exist? If so, is there a good workaround for masking known polymorphic regions, or am I doomed to paying for massive coverage on the parent cell line? Thanks!
