DNA strands coding in fasta file

    Hi,

    my question is:

how two strands of a DNA molecule are coded in a chromosome file in fasta format. Are each line coded each strands or first half of the file codes one strands and the other half codes the second strands?

    Thanks

It's not there at all, it's just the plus strand. The minus is complementary, so there's no need to make the fasta files twice as long

      Thanks for your response.

So, chromosome fasta file includes a single strands of DNA?

Any fasta format DNA/RNA sequence file will include only one strand (normally top strand in the 5' --> 3') orientation. You can infer the sequence for the other strand based on this information.
