    Question on scRNA graph format

    Hello,

I am new in scRNAseq and in illustrating results. I often see a type of graph in papers where categories are in a row, and the corresponding values, which are tipically size of circle = %of cells expressing a particular gene AND color of circle = level of expression are shown. Could you, please, tell me the name of this type of graph, and if it is better to make such graphs with R or Python, or if there is a specialized package for this type of graphs? Example from recent paper is enclosed. Thanks!

Dear Tamas, this type of graph is called a dot plot and is included in packages used for scRNA-seq analysis.
I strongly encourage you to read the publications and manuals / tutorials about Seurat, the main R package used for scRNA-seq analysis or ScanPy, its python counterpart. They are very complete analysis packages and will provide you with a lot of different graphical tools to get nice displays of your data. Enjoy!
