  • Blast+ Error: cannot get seq-data in range

    Hi, everyone
    I am using NCBI-BLAST-2.2.28+ to perform blastn-short blast for about 200 primers in one file. and The database is Zea mays genome(about 2Gb).
    the standalone blast program work well in my computer,but when run that data it put out an error:

    the main info is(more info in attachment file) :

    CSeqVector_CI::GetSeqData: cannot get seq-data in range:237097599-237097614

    please, who can tell me what is going wrong?
    Thanks

    Not answering your question but in case you are stuck you could give "blat" a try instead.

        Looks to me like you tried to compile blast from source (and failed somehow). Any good reason for not just using the official binaries?

          Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
          by seqadmin

          Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
