for mm10, there are no more rRNA elements in random chromosomes or scaffolds - they have all been placed in regular chromosomes.

    mm10_rRNA_rmsk.gtf has 1564 intervals covering 168298 bp
mm10_rRNA_gencode.gtf has 353 intervals covering 39472 bp (vM2 of mouse Gencode)

They overlap on 33.2 kbp, and the only intervals in Gencode that are not present in rmsk at all follow:

    Code:
    chr2	61798180	61798296	Gm25966
    chr6	94826781	94826923	Gm24601
    chr14	12427532	12427641	n-R5s45
    chr18	73533403	73533550	n-R5-8s1
Again, one can merge rmsk with these intervals and get the most complete coverage.

      Sorry but I dont undertand
¿are the rDNAs in both databases too short?
average size is arround 110nt, but 28S has 5070nt and 18S has 1819 nt
      ¿¿??

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
        by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating

New Genomics Technologies Take Aim at Long-Standing Limits
        by SEQadmin2

Researchers using sequencing and genomics tools often have to make trade-offs. They can choose between speed or scale, short reads or long-range information, or targeted panels or a view of the whole transcriptome. New technologies that have been released this year are built to address those tough choices.

We asked six companies the same four questions to learn about their latest products. The new technologies bring a lot to the table, including rethinking sequencing
