Hey everybody, I'm new here. Currently I've been teaching myself (biology student) how to use part, in particular for sequence alignments. Now I'm trying to write a script in perl where any sequence alignment algorithm outputs in a graphical way (alignment or visualise the path through scoring matrix). However, I've gotten as far as to making the Needleman-Wunsch scores but only in the command window, not a graphical way, but can't manage to put it in a graphical way or to get the arrows to signal the path. Let me know if you have any input.

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?
Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating...-
