sra-lite to fastq problem: no output

Hi all,

I've downloaded sra-lite files, and am trying to convert them to .fastq using fastq-dump (version 2.0.1, which I compiled from source). Everything runs with no errors, but I simply get no output. Has anyone had this problem?

For example, if I'm in this directory:
[pickrell@spudling40 SRR000711]$ ls -l
total 239M
-rw-rw-r-- 1 pickrell pickrell 239M Apr 25 2008 SRR000711.lite.sra

Then I run

fastq-dump -A SRR000711 -D SRR000711.lite.sra -O .

It runs for about five minutes, then stops, but without creating any output. Any suggestions?
