The standard version you get on http://genome.ucsc.edu/FAQ/FAQblat.html#blat3 is for 32 bit systems (theres also one for linux) - at least as far as I'm informed.

What architecture? The pre-mades are not for "off brand" cpus. You may have to download the source and compile which is easy if you've done this stuff before. Trick is to point to the right libraries. It might not be so easy if you are not a command line warrior.
