Hi every one!. At Oncogenomics Lab we've being enjoying using Miseq FGX for sequencing and it was giving excellent results. But recently we received a new supply from our in-country suppliers. we used the reagents and had three consecutive test runs stopping after read 1. There was no error alarm or error code to that effect on the machine. In all the stopped runs, the quality metrics were excellent but till now we are yet to figure out whats wrong. Please has any body experience a similar problem? Meanwhile, the last run from the old stock of reagent didn't have any issue, the machine's available memory is 81% and no any alert for software update.Comment

Data variability is still an issue in sequencing technologies despite the advances in reproducibility and accuracy of these platforms. But the problem does not originate in the sequencing itself, but in the previous steps, before the sample reaches the sequencer.
The first step is collection, followed by preservation and sample preparation for analysis. Most scientists overlook those steps, but not being careful might just be skewing the experiment’s results.
