    Hi y'all (greetings from Atlanta)

    A shoutout to the SEQanswers community from the south! My name is Tim Read, a newly minted Associate Professor in Infectious Diseases & Human Genetics at Emory University. I'm going to be running a new Genomics Core at Emory, based initially on the 454 GS-FLX and Illumina platforms, and continuing on my research on comparative bacterial pathogen genomics (previously I was an researcher at TIGR and then the Naval Medical Research Center in Rockville, Maryland).

    I'm on the lookout to recruit a couple of positions initially and will post the official descriptions shortly. These are: a lab tech/ lab manager experienced in running nextgen instruments, and a Bioinformatics analyst with experience in genome data analysis.
