16 lane run leakage

We've heard rumours of leakage between lanes when using a 16 lane gasket.
Has anyone seen any evidence of this? The separators between the lanes seem quite chunky (especially when compared to the on on the 2 lane gasket).
Is it better to adopt an MID approach instead?

We do see some leakage across the regions, usually it's only tens of reads. It is not specific to just 16 region gaskets, we see it on pretty much everything. If your sequences/organisms are different enough, and you're aligning to a reference, you can get away without MIDs, otherwise you may want to explore them.
