TruSeq RNA compatibility with MiSeq ???

    Hello everybody,

I have a GAIIx and I will buy a MiSeq for March or instead, in April. Delay of delivery are very longer in France.
So, I don't find if TruSeq RNA kit is compatible with MiSeq. Nextera yes, custom yes ...

    Somebody know it ?

Also, kit for sequencing is for 50 or 300 cycle. How do for just 75 or 101pb sequencing

    Thanks

TruSeq libraries will work on the MiSeq. I am not sure about the new dual index nextera libraries, but I would presume so.

Usually you can aliquot Illumina SBS reagents. They might have a limited shelf life after doing so, though.

You can check compatibility of various components on the Illumina site.

Illumina is supposedly releasing more kits of the MiSeq, but right now you are limited to what they offer.

With the MiSeq the SBS is in the same plate as the clustering reagents and the kit includes the flow cell. With a 300 cycle kit you can run less than PE-150, but you won't be able to cluster another flow cell and run any of the residual SBS. The MiSeq also dispenses unused material into the waste, so better just to run 300 cycle kits for 300 cycles and 50 for 50. We would only run <50 for miRNA libraries.

Not as flexible as the HiSeq but they wanted to lock it down to make it easier to troubleshoot runs (and sell reagents!).

16S/ITS Profiling vs. Shotgun Metagenomics: What Changes in Your Workflow?
          by SEQadmin2

NGS has revolutionized clinical microbiology by offering new ways to identify and surveil pathogens without prior knowledge of the target. One popular approach is 16S rRNA and ITS amplicon sequencing, which targets specific microbial markers. But studies are increasingly incorporating shotgun metagenomics, a technique that sequences all DNA from a sample without targeting specific microbial markers. This approach allows more detailed taxonomic classification, detection...

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
          by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating
