Hi, we are in the works of determining how to properly dispose of the formamide from P3 100 Cycle Kits in accordance with Laws and Regulations. Does anyone know if you HAVE to do the optional purge to get all of the formamide out of the Kits, and into the waste? Additionally, would anyone know which location on the picture below is the formamide location? Most other Illumina systems make disposing of the formamide much more seemless, and from reading FAQs, Reference Materials, and Product Documentation it is not the clearest. Thank you!

The NextSeq 2000 formamide waste isn't accessible to the general user, what you would need to do is instruct the instrument to do a reagent purge (this dumps any excess volume of all reagents into the common waste). Instructions for how to do this are posted by Illumina here: https://knowledge.illumina.com/instr...list/000003039
Then, you'll need to empty that waste from the spent reagents compartment by removing the rubber plug at the end of the cartridge. The % formamide is shared by Illumina here: https://knowledge.illumina.com/instr...list/000001544

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...-

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...-
