  • About Agilent DNA 1000 Kit

    Dear All
I have stored Agilent DNA 1000 Kit (DNA Gel Matrix, DNA Dye Concentrate, DNA Markers, Spin Filters and DNA Ladder) in -20 °C, not in 4 °C. The actual storage temperature for all these materials are 4 °C. Initially, I have stored at 4 °C but 6-7 days before, I have shifted it to -20 °C. So now, I am afraid whether the kit is usable or not? Can anyone please help me to figure out this situation.

    Regards
    Aman

One way to work out if it is OK, would be to run a Chip with a DNA ladder or any other sample with known size and quantity. Analysing kit ladder and known sample would indicate if sizing and quantification are OK or not. If the quantification has been affected you still can use it for sizing.

      Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
      by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
