    Phix174 solexa reads repository

I need phix174 solexa data to do some test (the control DNA provided by ILLumina), any one know where I can find some?

    Thanks.

I have put 25K phiX174 reads as test data to R2R here if thats what you - still - need:

Look for "s_5_sequence" reads in "fastq, base 64" format

Thanks for your reply, I still need them, but why these reads have such high quality score ("h" for most of the time)?

        phiX174 data quality

Data were extracted as 25K consequtive reads extracted "not from the beginning" of the original file to avoid edge effects. I guess that high quality comes from 1) That Illumina overestimate the quality of their reads and 2) that this was a good day, where much longer reads could have been made, but this was not needed. You can have the full dataset if needed by sending me your mail as a private message.

16S/ITS Profiling vs. Shotgun Metagenomics: What Changes in Your Workflow?
          by SEQadmin2

NGS has revolutionized clinical microbiology by offering new ways to identify and surveil pathogens without prior knowledge of the target. One popular approach is 16S rRNA and ITS amplicon sequencing, which targets specific microbial markers. But studies are increasingly incorporating shotgun metagenomics, a technique that sequences all DNA from a sample without targeting specific microbial markers. This approach allows more detailed taxonomic classification, detection...

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
          by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating
