    Illumina Reads Mulitplexer tag

Hi guys Im new to NGS and have illumina runs from a pooled data set of 8 organisms. There are ~17 million sequences of 85bp long that I am using for de novo assembly. I would like to separate the reads into files based on the organism they belong to. To do this I need to find some unique identifier in each read header, eg:

    HWI-EASXXX_0012:7:1:0:892#ACAGTG/1:

The problem is instead of an index number I have multiplexer tags of the form NNNNNN at the end of the header. With so many different tags there doesnt seem to be any way to separate organisms based on these tags. Has anyone come across this problem before or have any suggestions to alternate routes? This is my first illumina data set so if Im missing out on some obvious answer, I apologize in advance.

16S/ITS Profiling vs. Shotgun Metagenomics: What Changes in Your Workflow?
    by SEQadmin2

NGS has revolutionized clinical microbiology by offering new ways to identify and surveil pathogens without prior knowledge of the target. One popular approach is 16S rRNA and ITS amplicon sequencing, which targets specific microbial markers. But studies are increasingly incorporating shotgun metagenomics, a technique that sequences all DNA from a sample without targeting specific microbial markers. This approach allows more detailed taxonomic classification, detection...

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
    by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating
