    For miRNA sequencing

    Hello,everyone:
I am Amber, and from Beijing, this is my first post and I need some papers for methodology about miRNA sequencing by Ion Torrent,if it has a detailed protocol is best. Can you recommend some for me?

    Thanks.

    Hi!))
Are you only interested miRNA sequencing by Ion Torrent? I can tell about miRNA sequencing by SOLiD

      Thank Chartiza.
My laboratory have Ion torrent, pyromark Q96,and ABI 3700,so I need protocol for those instruments. But if the principle of the preparation of Ion torrent and SOLID are similar, perhaps I can refer to.
      Thank you!

        Hi, Amber))
There is a an official protocol (file attached), it may be you need it?

            always welcome))
whose miRNAs you're going to sequence, if it's not a secret?

              Hi Amber,

In fact there is an updated RNA-Seq Kit (Ion Total RNA-Seq Kit v2 - Cat. No. 4475936) now available for use with the PGM. You can obtain the user manual for this and all kits via the Ion Community. The direct link to the RNA-Seq Kit v2 User Guide is http://lifetech-it.hosted.jivesoftwa.../docs/DOC-2999. Benefits of the updated method include a shorter workflow and gel-free isolation. Your local Field Applications Scientist will be able to supply more information and assistance.

                Haloplex for Ion Torrent

                Hi!
I bought Ion Torrent PGM and I would like to study human cancer mutations.
I heard about Haloplex technology for library preparation, that seems very interesting...Did anybody try it for ion Torrent sequencing?
                Thank you!

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
                  by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating

New Genomics Technologies Take Aim at Long-Standing Limits
                  by SEQadmin2

Researchers using sequencing and genomics tools often have to make trade-offs. They can choose between speed or scale, short reads or long-range information, or targeted panels or a view of the whole transcriptome. New technologies that have been released this year are built to address those tough choices.

We asked six companies the same four questions to learn about their latest products. The new technologies bring a lot to the table, including rethinking sequencing
