Hi all,
I recently submitted some fungal and bacterial DNA samples for long-read sequencing. The sequencing center stated that my fragment size was too small (a Femto Pulse reading showed a smear at 450 bp) to run. When I run a gel of my samples, I get a smear around 8 kbp. I believe this is because of charged, bound inhibitors on the DNA. Is there a method I could implement for both bacteria and fungi that allows for longer DNA fragments that also removes these DNA inhibitors?
Thanks,
Beatrice
