Free software that can trim .ab1 files?

Does anyone know if there is any free software that allows trimming of .ab1 files using a quality score average window and can output .ab1 files? I think Chromas can do this, but it is not free.

I think the chromatogram explorer can do what you are looking for (http://www.dnabaser.com/download/chromatogram-explorer/)
The lite version is freeware and has almost all features.

Have you tried with the software ABI Seq Scanner? Is free, but you have to do the trim manually. At the end you can save the edited .ab1 file..

Why not SCF? Maybe lucy or Staden's pregap4?

              Sequencher

Have you tried with Sequencher? You can use a demo version and in the section sequence>trim>trim parameters you can set your "personal trimming values", so perhaps you can save and export sequence. Try!

16S/ITS Profiling vs. Shotgun Metagenomics: What Changes in Your Workflow?
                by SEQadmin2

NGS has revolutionized clinical microbiology by offering new ways to identify and surveil pathogens without prior knowledge of the target. One popular approach is 16S rRNA and ITS amplicon sequencing, which targets specific microbial markers. But studies are increasingly incorporating shotgun metagenomics, a technique that sequences all DNA from a sample without targeting specific microbial markers. This approach allows more detailed taxonomic classification, detection...

                by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating
