    GMP whole genome sequencing prices

I am working for a small European food additive company and I want to do WGS of my bacterial strain under GMP using Illumina or a similar technique. As all sequencing providers work with a quote-based system, I can't estimate how much this will cost and I don't want to overpay. Is there anyone with experience who can give me price indication for this kind of service?

To clarify: I want to sequence a GMO Lactobacillus Rhamnosus GG strain. I want to send pellets to the sequencing provider. An example of a service I see online what could be interesting is: https://cdnmedia.eurofins.com/eurofi...sting_2024.pdf

Thanks already for your time and input!

I’ve looked into GMP WGS for a bacterial strain before—pricing can vary, but expect somewhere around €1,500 to €3,500 depending on the provider and how much documentation you need. If you're sending pellets, check if DNA extraction is included or extra. Eurofins is solid, but it’s worth getting 2–3 quotes just to compare. Also, some university core labs do this under GMP and might be a bit more affordable. Good luck!

16S/ITS Profiling vs. Shotgun Metagenomics: What Changes in Your Workflow?
      by SEQadmin2

NGS has revolutionized clinical microbiology by offering new ways to identify and surveil pathogens without prior knowledge of the target. One popular approach is 16S rRNA and ITS amplicon sequencing, which targets specific microbial markers. But studies are increasingly incorporating shotgun metagenomics, a technique that sequences all DNA from a sample without targeting specific microbial markers. This approach allows more detailed taxonomic classification, detection...

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
      by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating
