Your guess is as good as ours :-)

I wonder if this is an "illumina" clone meant only for the asian markets (like some phones out there). Illustration looks suspiciously like a GAIIx.

          From the 'Investors' page:

"We will start by fulfilling the research needs in Asia…"

Is it really racist to note that some products are available only in certain markets?

Maybe they have IP issues outside of Asia?

The initial patent around the MinION technology is about 20 years old....

Do you have a ref for that? I would find it useful and interesting, as I am sure, many others will.

But this company is using SBS chemistry which is basically a modification of Sanger sequencing which is about 40 years old.

If genedrabio has actually managed to reverse-engineer SBS chemistry (even for GAII) then that may be a feat in itself.

There is more information about SBS here: http://www.genedrabio.com/en/seq_reagents.php

Are Illumina's original patents on this expiring?

The field of immunogenetics explores how genetic variations influence immune responses and susceptibility to disease. In a recent SEQanswers webinar, Oscar Rodriguez, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Louisville, and Ruben Martínez Barricarte, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University, shared recent advancements in immunogenetics. This article discusses their research on genetic variation in antibody loci, antibody production processes,...

                                Choosing Between NGS and qPCR
                                by seqadmin

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) are essential techniques for investigating the genome, transcriptome, and epigenome. In many cases, choosing the appropriate technique is straightforward, but in others, it can be more challenging to determine the most effective option. A simple distinction is that smaller, more focused projects are typically better suited for qPCR, while larger, more complex datasets benefit from NGS. However,...
