Is anyone aware of NGS-based estimates of mutation rates for mammalian cell culture? I know that NGS was used to estimate germline mutation rate in humans but I am interested in the mutation rate of human cells in culture. So this would be somatic/mitotic mutation rate.

I have no idea on studies using NGS, but some independent OLD papers suggests in vitro cell culture increase mutation rate by 10x

There is a recent nextgen study that puts human y-chromosome mutation rate at 10^-8 but I too have not found a NGS-derived cell culture mutation rate. Yes, I also found that paper, I remember it's in CELL press / Curr Bio.
