    Upload of simulated data for publication

    Hi guys

    Do you know what is the proper place to submit RNA-seq simulated data (fasta and bam) for a publication?

    I think GEO or SRA will not work for simulations. Any other option?

    If you intend to make companion software available you could put the datasets up on sourceforge.

        sourceforge is not an option as it is not accompanied by software.

        Dropbox or google drive would be an easy solution, but I am not sure whether journals accept this or not...

          Can you share via web at your institution? This method is subject to not working after a time (you may leave, institution may decide to take the resource down) but I assume whatever you are publishing does not need to remain available in perpetuity.

          How big is the dataset you want to share?

            All files compressed are around 50gb.

            The thing is that I want others to download the files and use them... So I want them to be stored in a place that they will be available for long time...
