I have been asked a few times and have not been able to find a clear answer online. Is there any reason that RNA pellets cannot be shipped at room temp in 100% isopropanol?

isopropanol is a flammable, but you would need to check with your shipper if the volumes you are using are okay for airmail. -
We do recommend our customers from South America (shipments can be delayed quite often) to ship their RNA after samples after ethanol precipitation, pellets washed twice with 70% ethanol, and then covered with a minimum amount of 80% ethanol (20ul).
We do not have any problems sequencing these samples.
