    Ship RNA @ RT in isoprop?

    I have been asked a few times and have not been able to find a clear answer online. Is there any reason that RNA pellets cannot be shipped at room temp in 100% isopropanol?

    isopropanol is a flammable, but you would need to check with your shipper if the volumes you are using are okay for airmail.

      We do recommend our customers from South America (shipments can be delayed quite often) to ship their RNA after samples after ethanol precipitation, pellets washed twice with 70% ethanol, and then covered with a minimum amount of 80% ethanol (20ul).
      We do not have any problems sequencing these samples.
