I am new to this forum, so I apologize if someone has asked this question already. I have been prepping total RNA from rat liver tissue using the miRNeasy kit from Qiagen and analyzing the RNA using the Agilent pico kit. My RIN values are averaging in the 2.3 range and I understand that the RIN value should be ~8. I was just wondering if others have used the same method of total RNA isolation from flash frozen tissue and what RIN values you typically see? Thanks for any help!
