TapeStation lane failures

Hello Seqers,

Has anyone experienced multiple lane failures on the TapeStation when loading samples from 96-well plates? We have seen this now on multiple instruments and Agilent does not have an answer. Of course we have ruled out the plates and samples but have been unable to isolate the problem on the instrument.

Yes-we have it occasionally when running with all supported consumables.

They have not been able to tell us much either.

However, if it is a big enough issue and you lose many lanes, they can usually be convinced to replace a box of tapes and reagents.

Are you sure it's not bubbles in the tape? I find it hard to see if there are bubbles.
