I agree that the Bioanalyzer Small RNA assay is good for this purpose. It is less than ideal, as miRNAs will run anywhere from 15-40 nt, but it is probably the best thing currently out there. Also, many "small RNA" preps also include tRNA and sometimes the small rRNAs, so as nucacidhunter mentioned an assay such as Picogreen cannot accurately quantify the miRNA in those types of samples.
