Hi all. On a different note...I do not really understand how one is supposed to combine the N7 and S5 primers in the QIAseq Targeted DNA Panel. Do they have to be combined in a TruSeq-like fashion? So different N7s dispensed by rows and different S5s dispensed by columns?

      Hi thiNGS,

To combine N7## adapter and S5## index primer in 96-well format, yes different N7## dispensed by rows and different S5## dispensed by columns.

        Hi everyone,

our genetic testing software 'Seamless NGS' offers an easy-to-use workflow for the analysis of Qiagen's QiaSeq panels.

Before mapping the reads, the common sequence and the UMIs are clipped away. After mapping, the UMIs sequences are properly used to correct for PCR clones and the single amplicon primer is clipped away to ensure correct and unbiased variant calling. The workflow was developed, tested and validated together with a trustworthy pathological laboratory at one of the oldest university hospitals in Germany. Having long-lasting experience in that field, together with them, ecSeq was able to get the most out of the QiaSeq panel.

If you are interested in our solution, please check www.seamless-ngs.com and/or write us a short email ([email protected]) to make an appointment for a personal live demo (online).

16S/ITS Profiling vs. Shotgun Metagenomics: What Changes in Your Workflow?
          by SEQadmin2

NGS has revolutionized clinical microbiology by offering new ways to identify and surveil pathogens without prior knowledge of the target. One popular approach is 16S rRNA and ITS amplicon sequencing, which targets specific microbial markers. But studies are increasingly incorporating shotgun metagenomics, a technique that sequences all DNA from a sample without targeting specific microbial markers. This approach allows more detailed taxonomic classification, detection...

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
          by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating
