    BioAnalyser 2100 upgrade cable

Has anyone successfully used a non-Agilent USB to serial adapter successfully and can share the part #?

We are upgrading our BioAnalyser 2100 computer and HATE to spend almost $180 on the recommended (supported) adapter # 5188-8031 when look-a-like cables are $10. If we have to spend the money, OK, but it seems excessive.

I have a follow-up question regarding this - are you able to just remove the license from the old machine and add it to the new PC? We've wanted to upgrade ours for a while.

We are the process of doing the Win 10 upgrade. I'll update if anything is odd, but about a year ago we swapped computers and re-installing the software again was smooth sailing. You'll need your original licence key for the install. Updated software is on the Agilent website, free.

I didn't even have to remove it from my old computer to get it to work on the new one

Beyond CRISPR/Cas9: Understand, Choose, and Use the Right Genome Editing Tool
          by SEQadmin2

CRISPR/Cas9 sparked the gene editing revolution for both research and therapeutics.1 But this system still showed severe issues that limited its applications. The most prominent were the heavy reliance on PAM sequences, delivery limitations, double-stranded breaks that prompt unintended edits and cell death, and editing inefficiency (both in targeting and in knock-in reliability).

Despite this, “CRISPR helped turn genome editing from a specialized technique into

          by SEQadmin2

Proteomics platforms are evolving rapidly, with advances in mass spectrometry and affinity-based approaches expanding what researchers can detect and at what scale. As the field moves toward deeper proteome coverage and clinical applications, scientists face an increasingly complex landscape of tools. This article will explore how researchers are navigating these choices to find the right platform for their work.

The systematic characterization of the human proteome has
