      I have written an installer to make the Biopieces more accessible. It is located here.

        biopieces installation error _ruby not getting recognized !!

        Hi
        While installing with installer.sh, I got following error
        Code:
        yk@yk-ubuntu:~/Desktop$ ./biopieces_installer-0.43.sh

        Welcome to the Biopieces installer.

           This installer is experimental, and is being evaluated to replace
           the previous, tedious way:

              http://code.google.com/p/biopieces/wiki/Installation

           The installer will now do the following:

           * Check for existing Biopieces installation.
           *  Check prerequisites:
              -  Subversion client

              -  Ruby gems
              -  Auxillary programs

           *  Create installation directories.
           *  Download code from repository.
           *  Set environment in .bashrc.
           *  Run tests

            The problem is your Ruby version. It is often a problem that ruby version 1.8 and 1.9 are mixed up depending on how they were installed.

            Code:
            ruby --version
            Should tell you that you are running at least version 1.9. You may have a ruby1.9 binary, and in that case you should create a symlink.

              16S/ITS Profiling vs. Shotgun Metagenomics: What Changes in Your Workflow?
              by SEQadmin2

              NGS has revolutionized clinical microbiology by offering new ways to identify and surveil pathogens without prior knowledge of the target. One popular approach is 16S rRNA and ITS amplicon sequencing, which targets specific microbial markers. But studies are increasingly incorporating shotgun metagenomics, a technique that sequences all DNA from a sample without targeting specific microbial markers. This approach allows more detailed taxonomic classification, detection...

              Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
              by SEQadmin2

              Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

              Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating
