    Bam.iobio: An Interactive, Real-Time, Sequence Alignment Inspector App

    I'm pleased to introduce Bam.iobio, the first app of its kind that allows scientists to inspects BAM sequence alignment files on their web browser, interactively, and in real-time, without having to rely on terabytes of storage and vast computing power. Data are expressed in a graphic interface that is easy-to-use and intuitive, enabling scientists to focus in on specific regions or genes of interest, if desired. The app was published on Nov. 25 in Nature Methods.

    vcf.iobio is also ready to use, and enables scientists to analyze genomic variant report files interactively, and in real-time.
