Hello all,
Anyone out there have some experience with training Augustus for gene prediction for their specific species? I have been trying to do this and get very different results depending on the approach I take (following tutorials or the instructions in the README files). Basically, depending on how I choose to the gene prediction (using an existing species info or implementing different methods for deriving hints or a training set of genes), I get very different results. I would be curious to bounce a few questions off someone if they have to know what specific approaches they have used. If you reply, to this thread, I can offer tons more details. Otherwise, thanks for taking a look.
