Hello All, the covaris S2 maintenance schedule says I should use 10% bleach for a monthly rinse, can I use a HazTab soultion or household bleach? or should I make up a NaOCL solution?

Covaris bleaching
A simple apx 10% solution of a household bleach like Clorox will be fine. No need to mix up NaOCl from scratch, but if you do, remember that Clorox is already a 6% (roughly) solution of NaOCl. You are looking for a relatively mild solution.
After running the bleach solution to retard algae, rinse the system with clean water a couple of times, and keep in mind that once diluted, bleach has a shelf life, so it's probably best to mix new each time.
I hope this answers your question.Last edited by CovarisQual; 10-13-2011, 01:25 PM.

Targeted sequencing is an effective way to sequence and analyze specific genomic regions of interest. This method enables researchers to focus their efforts on their desired targets, as opposed to other methods like whole genome sequencing that involve the sequencing of total DNA. Utilizing targeted sequencing is an attractive option for many researchers because it is often faster, more cost-effective, and only generates applicable data. While there are many approaches...-
