    OCTUPUS and Chimera detection

    Hello everyone!

    Does anyone Know how OCTUPUS detect chimera, wich parameters it use?

    Does it takes in account the ratio of reads lenght and the number of base pairs that match with high similarity to the reference sequences?

    I have only used UCHIME... From memory it does what you ask about

      Hey JackieBadger,

      thanks for the answer. I know there are several software to detect chimeras, but we are currently working with OCTUPUS and I would like to figure out how it find chimeras sequences.
