    SMRTbell Synthesis and Sequence

    - Are SMRTbells made by synthesis?
    - If so, how are they purified (desalting, FPLC, etc...)?
    - What is the SMRTbell sequence (not barcoded and barcoded)?
    - What is the sequence of the primer binding site?
    - What is the concentration of the SMARTbells used in the ligation reaction?

    Thanks.

Some of this information is public, some isn't. For adapter sequences, look in any *.metadata.xml file from a sequencing run. The adapter forms a hairpin, so any barcode sequence just needs to be added to the ends in the correct orientations. Adapter concentrations can be found in the template prep protocols http://www.pacb.com/support/document..._sort=preserve

Investigating the Gut Microbiome Through Diet and Spatial Biology
      by seqadmin

The human gut contains trillions of microorganisms that impact digestion, immune functions, and overall health1. Despite major breakthroughs, we’re only beginning to understand the full extent of the microbiome’s influence on health and disease. Advances in next-generation sequencing and spatial biology have opened new windows into this complex environment, yet many questions remain. This article highlights two recent studies exploring how diet influences microbial...
