    Workflow survey

It seems like each user has his own protocol worked out and is comfortable sharing details. Would it be interesting to create a Sample/Library Prep users survey to understand which of the various kits, equipment, and techniques are the most popular?

For each application (epigenome, genomic, ChIP seq, small RNA, Total RNA, mRNA, etc.) you probably have a fairly detailed protocol covering nucleotide isolation, library prep, quality control, etc.

If we created a popularity survey to cover all of these details, what steps would it have to cover to provide a complete picture?

Maybe the Seq wiki is supposed to include this information, but I don't see it being used.

If for each application we could list the various steps, what kits are routinely used, and then based on these responses we can create a survey so people can indicate what they're personally using?
