    Promoter regions hg19

    Does anyone know of a downloadable data set that lists all of the predicted promoter regions in the human genome? I understand promoters can be defined in different ways, but that is unimportant as long as I know how the data set was defined.

    Or...

    Does anyone know how I might generate something like this relatively easily? a BED file would be optimal but I'll take what I can get

    One way:
    UCSC table browser
    Group: Gene tracks, track: RefSeq (or UCSC known, or ensembl)
    Region: genome, output BED.
    Click on "get output" then on the next page select "Upstream by" and define yourself the genomic flank you consider as promoter region.

    Also, if you enter "download" and "promoter" in the Search window of this forum (upper bar) you will find this complete thread
