  • SOLiD: Manual templated bead enrichment, reagents???

    Hi!

Does anybody have experience with doing manual enrichment of the templated beads (for SOLiD 5500) in this post-EZ period?
As we aim to get the wíldfire there isnt much point in spending a lot of money on the EZ bead system, and according to ABI (when we bought the system) manual bead prep is still doable (all though they did advise that its to much work).
So we now have beads from a perfect ePCR run, and want to enrich them.
    Here comes the question(s):

Does anyone know how to apply the EZ bead enrichment kit consumables for the manual enrichment protocol?

Is anybody aware of how and where to buy the manual enrichment reagents?

Has anybody tried applying the original Polonator templated-bead enrichment protocol on SOLiD beads?

Desperately hope somebody can help on this!!!!!

    Best greetings,

Find oligonucleotides and PCR primers and probes built to your specifications here. We offer options for virtually any application and delivery times to keep your research moving.

Looks like the manual reagents are listed under the older systems. Since the beads havent changed, i think this should work.

      Dear snetmcom!

Thx so very much! this link actually appears to work, all the way through to the shopping basket :-)
Yesterday I could only find links ending in : "not available or discontinued"
So, if the consumables also show up, well I think you just saved our first run!!!!!
So thx again! and wishing you lots of bestQ GBs!

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
        by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

        Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
        by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
