Does anyone know of any good methods for multiplexing more than 384 samples on a MiSeq run? The Nextera XT Index Kit allows indexing for a maximum of 384 samples. We have already purchased one of these kits, but would like to add more samples onto our run. I know the Illumina customer letter provided sequences for some of their barcodes, but not for all of them. Does anyone know if the rest of these are available elsewhere? I suppose it would be possible to order oligos identical to the Nextera barcode adaptors but with different 8 bp barcode sequences. Any thoughts?
